Origin:

Trash-Mex was created by Armando Hernández in 2010 as a film review site that focused solely on obscure, forgotten & discarded (or "trashy") Mexican genre films of the past. As the years went by, people took notice and given their appraisal for the one & only site dedicated to Mexican genre films.

Film Screenings:

In 2022, Trash-Mex stepped out of the internet world with repertory film programming of Mexican genre films. Trash-Mex has hosted many Mexican genre film screenings in Southern California & Texas. The film programming is in partnership with Michael Aguirre.

The Trash-Mex Podcast:

In 2024, Trash-Mex launches a podcast which solely discusses Mexican genre films of the past. The podcast is co-hosted & produced by Joey Diaz.

The mission with Trash-Mex is to keep Mexican genre films of the past alive & also aim on speaking about them in an accurate manor.​
 

Curation:

All films covered on Trash-Mex are Mexican productions and/or co-productions from the 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's & early 2000's. Big budgets or low budgets. Theatrically released or released straight to video (aka "videohome").
