Angeles De La Muerte (1993)

After witnessing the brutal murder of their parents and being assaulted when they were kids—sisters “Lorena” (Patricia Rivera) & “Amanda” (Diana Ferreti) have grown into deadly & vengeful women who prowl the seedy nightclubs in Monterrey, NL to seduce & kill men as an act of revenge for their harmed past. A single red rose is always left on top of the victim's bloody dead body. The cops are clueless on who could be committing all these brutal murders and assume it’s either one woman or perhaps even a homosexual man. During the day, Lorena & Amanda help out their community and are seen as angels by all, but at nighttime they are definitely angels of death with no mercy at all. And every single night, the two sisters pray to their parents since their dug-up caskets sit in the basement.

Angeles De La Muerte (aka "Angels of Death") is a pretty intriguing psychotic-thriller with entertaining bloody kills & two leading ladies that surely will catch your eyeballs with their stunning appearances. Patricia Rivera and Diana Ferreti are of course what makes this movie work out so well, and not just cause of how they look, but they also are very great actresses with a whole lot of charisma. It can’t be a psychotic-thriller without a badass cop on the job, and Jorge Reynoso here stars as one who’s after these killers all while juggling a pending marriage with a good woman that has a bratty son. The cop not only struggles with finding the killers, but also has to deal with a bumbling reporter (played by Pedro Infante Jr) who too wants to catch the killers, but is doing it all the wrong ways which causes a friction with the law. 

Angeles De La Muerte is a fun watch and a missing puzzle piece in 90’s Mexican horror since it appears to not have been seen by many horror fans. I could only hope it catches on some more because I truly feel it’s a must-see and people will really enjoy it for what it is. After all, You really can’t go wrong with two crazy hot chicks with switchblades killing men as an act for mass revenge.
