Trash-Mex Podcast season 2, episode 4: “Caminos de Zacatecas, Tamaulipas y Michoacán: Mexican Home State films” is now available to listen on all of your preferred podcast platforms: RSS, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Amazon Music, Podcast Index, Podbean, Audacy

To celebrate the independence of Mexico (Mexican Independence Day 9/16), hosts Armando & Joey discuss films that are set in the Mexican home states where their families are from.
Joey discusses the action-packed crime film “Mafia De Nuevo Laredo (1991)”, which was filmed & is set in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
The second film is the gritty, deep-cut Chili Western “Los Marcados (1971)”, set in Chicomostoc, Zacatecas. Stars legendary Mexican singer & actor Antonio Aguilar.
Armando discusses the regional crime obscurity “Las 12 Tumbas (1990)”, filmed & set in Tlalpujahua, Michoacán (we say the city name wrong at first, sorry).
And lastly, the very musical & light on plot “Caminos De Michoacán (1979)” is also discussed. Filmed in various cities around Northern California & Uruapan, Michoacán.
